Sheriff Asks for Assistance After Copper Wire Stolen From National Grid

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for information regarding a larceny that took place in the Town of Cortlandville between Thursday, June 23rd and Monday, June 27th.


The Grand Larceny occurred at a National Grid substation on Route 11.

An undisclosed amount of copper wire was taken.

The department asks if anyone has any information regarding this grand larceny to contact Lt. Garry Williams at 607-758-5583.

The Sheriff’s office is also reminding everyone if you see something suspicious, report it.
