The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect who is believed to have passed counterfeit bills at the Cincinnatus Dollar General on Sunday, September 10th.
Officers responded to the store and during the investigation through video surveillance saw a man described as a white male, thin build, with a blonde mohawk hair style and tattoos on both of his arms using a counterfeit $100 bill as payment for several items from the store.
Anyone who can recognize the suspect, is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 607-758-6151.
