Around 10:20 in the evening on Wednesday, January 10th, Homer Fire was dispatched to the area of 2256 East River Road for a vehicle crash detection alert that was sent to Cortland County 9-1-1. Dispatch noted to emergency responders they were not getting a response from the operator.
After Homer Fire arrived in the area they found a vehicle had hit a deer; they also requested the Sheriff’s Office to the scene. After an investigation conducted by officers, it was determined 41 year old Leslie W. Shine of the Town of Homer, was driving intoxicated.
