On Wednesday, October 11th, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported larceny that had taken place at Wal-Mart in Cortlandville.
Employees at Wal-Mart reported that the suspect in question had left the scene in a vehicle. Officers were able to locate said vehicle a short time later with the vehicle occupied by the suspect.
An investigation found 29 year old Travis J. Dise of Masonville, had stolen merchandise from the store with the items stolen having a total value over $1,000 dollars. Dise was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th, a Felony.
He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released with an appearance ticket. Dise is due in Cortlandville Town Court at the end of this month.
