Sheriff Arrest Freetown Man For Criminal Possession of a Weapon

Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office say they opened an investigation back on February 16th after information the Sheriff’s Office received regarding 65 year old Daniel S. Kelley of Freetown.

The Sheriff’s Office says through an investigation, it was found that Kelley was in possession of an illegally owned firearm. Kelley is prohibited from possessing said firearm. On February 25th, officers arrested Kelley on the charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th, a Misdemeanor.

Kelley was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Freetown Town Court next month.
