Around 8:20 pm on Sunday, June 18th, a complaint came into 9-1-1 dispatch on a vehicle that was traveling on Route 281 in the Town of Cortlandville.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Luker Road after observing traffic violations.
Through the investigation, officers determined the driver, identified as 42 year old Chester J. Talarski of Freeville, NY, was driving while intoxicated.
Talarski was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Driving with a BAC higher than .18%), both Misdemeanors, Speed in Zone, Inadequate muffler, and Failed to use designated lane, all traffic infractions.
He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released on appearance tickets. Talarski is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
