Sheriff Arrest Cortland Man Who Provided False Information to Officers

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3890 Route 11 in Cortlandville for a trespassing complaint on Monday morning around 8:30.

During an investigation by officers, they had determined 27 year old Seth M. Weigand of Cortland, had provided officers with false pedigree information regarding his identity. Officers eventually learned Weigands true identity and arrested him.

He faces charges of False Personation, a Misdemeanor. Weigand was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released with an appearance ticket. He is due back in Cortlandville Town Court next week.
