On Friday, April 21st, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Homestead Apartments for a reported domestic dispute taking place.
Through an investigation conducted by officers after arriving at the apartments, it was determined 56 year old Cornelius J. Hathaway of Cortland, had violated a full stay away order of protection from the victim in the dispute.
Officers charged Hathaway with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd, a Misdemeanor. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing before being arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process and then remanded without bail.
