On Wednesday, March 29th, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Price Chopper on Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville for a reported larceny.
Through an investigation, officers were able to determine that 27 year old Nicholas F. Tomassetti of Binghamton had stolen merchandise from the grocery store. He then fled the scene in a vehicle he was the operator of.
Officers were able to locate Tomassetti quickly and arrested on charges of Petit Larceny, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, both Misdemeanors, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, a violation.
He was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and then released with appearance tickets. Tomassetti is due to appear in Town of Cortlandville Court in mid April.
