Severe Storms Likely Today National Weather Service in Binghamton Says

Today, Monday, August 5th, the National Weather Service in Binghamton (NWS) says severe storms are expected throughout the Central New York region. The NWS says the storms should begin rolling through in the mid to late afternoon and continue into the evening hours.

The primary concerns for the storms will be damaging winds, hail, and heavy downpours which can lead to localized flash flooding. Currently, the NWS has categorized the CNY Region as a Level 2, Enhanced Risk.
