Several Public Hearings to be Held During December 2nd City of Cortland Common Council Meeting

During Tuesday evening’s City of Cortland Common Council meeting, the council voted unanimously during each vote in setting several public hearing dates. The council voted to hold all public hearings during their next regular meeting on Tuesday, December 2nd at 6pm on the third floor of City Hall.

Public hearings will include:

• The City of Cortland’s proposed 2026 City Budget
• Proposed Local Law relating to property tax levy authority
• Proposed Local Law in allowing the Common Council to set city fees, fines, and penalties via a resolution
• Proposed Local Law to establish rental fire & safety inspection and rental certificate of compliance
