Several Blood Drives Coming up as Red Cross Seeks Blood & Platelet Donations With Holidays Approaching

The American Red Cross is looking for both blood and platelet donations. Several blood drives will be held throughout Cortland County in late November and into early December. The Red Cross says as people begin their holiday plans in the final stretch of the year, the time to give may become a challenge. Donations of all blood types, especially those with types O negative, O positive, and B negative blood are needed. Platelet donations are also needed.

As an incentive to give, the Red Cross has teamed up with Bandai Namco Entertainment American Inc. to celebrate the 45th anniversary of PAC-MAN. Those who give blood from the 17th through December 7th, will receive an exclusive pair of Red Cross x PAC-MAN socks. All while supplies last, the Red Cross added. Those who give blood or platelets during the same time frame can snag a custom Red Cross x PAC-MAN GASHAPON, while they last.
