Starting January 10th, Seven Valleys Health Coalition in Cortland’s holding PreventT2 sessions Tuesdays 6-7 PM.
Gatherings take place via Zoom at no cost to those who choose to participate. PreventT2 is part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, and is based on research showing people with prediabetes who lost 5-to-7% of their body weight reduce developing type 2 diabetes by 58%. Participants learn how to better take care of themselves by taking steps like eating healthily, managing stress, and solving problems that can get in the way of healthy changes.
PreventT2 meets for a year, weekly for the first 6 months then once or twice a month for the next 6 months to maintain healthy lifestyle changes. Enrollment is being accepted now, call 607-756-4198 to sign up.
