The New York State Association for Rural Health, or NYSARH, Board of Directors has announced the relocation of their headquarters to Cortland. After a competitive application process, Seven Valleys Health Coalition (SVHC), located on Kennedy Parkway in Cortland, was successful in their bid to provide the executive and administrative function of the nonprofit.
NYSARH was previously headquartered in Corning.
Jackie Leaf is the new Executive Director of NYSARH and will oversee all agency operations and lead the planning team for the premier rural health conference in New York State each September.
The 2018 NYSARH conference will be located in Cortland this year, at Hope Lake Lodge, September 26–28.
As SVHC Executive Director, Leaf will continue to oversee the agency’s traditional functions within the Cortland community. Leaf will also work with existing SHVC staff as they manage NYSARH’s fiscal operations and facilitate the nonprofit’s communication, including website and social media development and promotion.
Sara Wall Bollinger joins the SVHC team as NYSARH Director for Strategic Development. Bollinger will focus on legislative policy, NYSARH membership, enacting the nonprofit’s strategic planning, and capacity building initiatives.
NYSARH is a not-for-profit, non-partisan, grassroots membership organization working to preserve and improve health and human services in rural New York State.
NYSARH advocates at the national and state levels to improve the health and well-being of rural New Yorkers and their communities.
