Sen. Webb Seeking Nominations for NYS Senate Educator Recognition Program
New York State Senator Lea Webb (SD-52) says her office is accepting nominations of local educators for the New York State Senate Educator Recognition Program. All nominations are due by March 31.
According to the Senator, the Educators Inspiring a Generation Program acknowledges and celebrates the exceptional efforts of New York educators, ahead of Teacher Appreciation Week in the month of May. Those who may be considered for nominations may be school professionals who demonstrate commitment to student success, employ innovative teaching methods, and show leadership in their educational communities.
A school may nominate one educator who will be awarded a certificate from their Senator.
“I’m proud to launch the Educator Recognition Program to celebrate the dedication, leadership, and service of teachers across Senate District 52,” said Senator Lea Webb. “Often, teachers’ commitment to their role goes well above what is required because they care for students. This program is one small way to recognize their hard work, uplift their achievements, and encourage them to continue leading with purpose.”
For community members within the 52nd Senate District, they may nominate current educators who go above and beyond in their role. Educators selected to receive the New York State Senate Educator Recognition Award will receive a congratulatory personalized certificate from Senator Webb.
Nominations may be submitted online at Webb.NYSenate.gov.
