Sen. Webb – 4th Annual Menstrual Product Drive Begins

New York State Senator Lea Webb (SD-52) says her 4th annual Menstrual Product Drive has begun. The drive focuses on addressing the need for menstrual products in Broome, Cortland, and Tompkins Counties. Webb says as the Chair of the Women’s Issues Committee in the State Senate, she is leading the initiative in collaboration with several local organizations.

Those organizations include C-STEP, Downtown Ithaca Alliance, SUNY Cortland C4, and Binghamton Metro Doulas.

“As Chair of the Senate Women’s Issues Committee, I believe access to menstrual products is a basic necessity, not a luxury,” said Senator Lea Webb. “For far too many women and girls, the cost of period supplies creates significant barriers to attending school, working, and fully participating in their daily lives. This drive reflects our continued commitment to dignity, health, and equity for individuals across the Southern Tier. I’m proud to partner with local organizations who are on the ground every day supporting our neighbors, and I’m grateful to our community for coming together once again to meet this need with compassion and care.”

The drive is collecting menstrual products including pads, tampons, wides, and more. Items will be accepted at several drop-off locations through March 27. They will then be distributed throughout the 52nd Senate District.

Drop-off locations are:

  • C-STEP, Decker College, 48 Corliss Ave, Johnson City, NY 13790
  • Senator Webb’s District Office, 44 Hawley St, Binghamton, NY, 13901
  • Senator Webb’s District Office, 217 N Aurora St, Ithaca, NY, 14850
  • Downtown Ithaca Alliance, 171 E M.L.K. Jr. St, Ithaca, NY 14850
  • SUNY Cortland, Sperry, Room 322, Cortland, NY 13045-0900
