A second clinic for seniors 60 and older who got their initial Moderna shot on March 31 at Homer High School is planned for this Sunday (April 18) at the same location.
Volunteers are needed for the event, with several shifts available between 7:30 am – 7:30 pm.
The latest numbers show about 36% of Cortland County residents have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.
Until recently, the county was only receiving the Moderna formula.
Now, production issues with the Johnson & Johnson brand have caused an estimated 88% drop in allocations to the state week-over-week.
Governor Cuomo said this shouldn’t lead to any cancellations, but may slow down new appointments.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Letitia James has issued a consumer alert to remind all residents that coronavirus vaccines are free.
She urged anyone who has been charged to get in touch with her office immediately.
