Second Arrest Made in January Tool Trailer Theft

Cortland City Police recently made a second arrest related to a January theft complaint in Cortland.



At the time, an enclosed utility trailer was stolen from a job site in Riverside Plaza on Clinton Avenue. The trailer was later discovered just south of Pipeline Road in Cortland County with the construction tools and equipment stolen out of it, valued at over $50,000.

Nicholas Stone was previously arrested for his connection to the matter, and now 32-year old Christopher Bush has been detained for his involvement. He’s charged with grand larceny, conspiracy and criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies.

The case is ongoing and more arrests are expected. Stone was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.
