Second Annual Tompkins County Voting Sticker Contest Winners Announced

The Tompkins County Board of Elections announced the winners of their 2024 sticker contest on Wednesday.

Two stickers were selected: Second Grader Ahava Sapp’s “Future Voter” sticker that features a hand-drawn “S.S. Ballot Vote Boat” and Sixth Grader Ruby LeCroy’s “I Voted” design with a frog sitting on a flower. Both winners will receive copies of their sticker design and a proclamation from the Tompkins County Legislature.

The contest, which set out to increase civic engagement by Tompkins County youth, saw over 1,700 votes cast by the public. Tompkins County hopes this will help to increase knowledge regarding democracy and voting in the youth demographic.
