The Cortland County Transportation Advisory Board met on Monday morning to consider options for a bus shelter for Greyhound and Trailways riders.
The effort is to find somewhere for passengers to wait for buses that is heated, out of the elements, with a bathroom.
The discussion focused on whether what’s “old” could become “new” again, as the old train depot on Central Avenue will be considered as an option.
Part of that building is now the Cortland Community Center.
Staffing, parking and insurance are just some of the concerns.
That location would be a couple of blocks east on Central Avenue from the current bus shelter in front of the County Office Building.
