US Senator Chuck Schumer has announced the passage of the Honoring Our Pact Act, which extends VA care to veterans exposed to burn pits & other toxins.
The passage will deliver much needed medical coverage for tens of thousands of exposed veterans in New York State.
“Thousands of Upstate New York veterans, and over three and a half million vets across America, have been exposed to toxins from burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan in the line of duty, and for too long, bureaucratic rules have denied them treatment for cancers, respiratory diseases, and the countless other illnesses incurred while fighting for our freedom. The bill also deals with ongoing health issues our vets have from exposure to Agent Orange,” said Senator Schumer.
