Homer:
The Homer School Board continues work on next year’s budget and could adopt the school calendar for next year at Tuesday’s meeting. Classes would start September 5 and the Christmas/New Year’s break would be a little more than a week.
Also Tuesday night, the Junior High Science Club will request permission for a trip to SUNY Cortland’s Raquette Lake camp for some outdoor education.
Cortland:
The Cortland School Budget is currently about $600,000 below revenue projections.
The most recent proposal is to use the Appropriated Fund Balance and Repair Fund to cover the gap.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the Board Is expected to receive updates on Virgil and Parker schools.
