The Save-A-Lot grocery store at 1111 NY-222 in Cortland has closed, an employee with the store confirmed to X101 News. The store closed on Sunday, December 7th. Uncertainty if the store would close began this past spring when the storefront was listed for lease by Yaman Commercial.

Yaman Commercial listed the 16,000 square foot store for lease back in May of this year. The store was highlighted as being currently occupied by a “single grocery tenant.” X101 News reached out to Save-A-Lot back in May, who told X101 News there were no plans to close the store and it remains open.

X101 News has reached out to Save-A-Lot again for a reason of the closure, but has not heard back.
