The Cortland Rural Cemetery will soon receive an enhancement courtesy of a national program devoted to the care of military service members.
Saluting Branches aims to maintain thousands of trees at over 80 VA cemeteries this year. With support from specialists, volunteers will participate in the day-long gathering at Cortland Rural Cemetery taking place September 28th. The endeavor is a point of pride for many attendees.
“I’m a fourth-generation veteran and am honored to participate and say thank you to our country’s finest by providing them the beautiful resting places they deserve”, said Saluting ranches volunteer Will B.
Officials with Cortland Rural Cemetery say the endeavor will save them thousands of dollars and improve both safety and beauty at the cemetery.
