Local authorities helped manage a loose animal complaint yesterday near the Homer village line.
Officers from the Homer Police Department and Cortland County Sheriff’s Office — along with workers from the Glenwood Cemetery and New York State Police — joined together on the response.
Apparently, 16 sheep had escaped from a trailer and made there way from the off-ramp on I-81 to a residence on Route 90.
All of the sheep were safely corralled and placed back into the trailer.
