Crown City Rising has provided this week’s construction reminder for the Downtown Cortland area. Work will continue on Main Street in Cortland and wrap up on Clinton Ave.
Construction crews are still installing sewer laterals along the west side of Main Street. This week work will take place between Court and Tompkins Street. Parking will be restricted on the west side of Main Street.
Additionally to the sewer laterals being installed, new water mains will also be installed. This work will require the temporary closure of the public parking lot entrance from Main Street between the VFW and Marketplace Mall. Traffic will also be restricted to one lane.
Sidewalk closures are possible as vault work continues on both sides of Main Street. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians.
For Clinton Ave. the final touches will continue this week including line stripping, cleaning, and beautification.
