After months of planning and construction, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for the highly-anticipated Renzi Cancer Center at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.

Members of the media are invited Wednesday (September 1) to the site to hear from Guthrie leadership, oncology specialists and even a patient.

After that, tours will be given to show an inside look at the facility and the technology that will be making a difference in patients’ lives.

The $10.6 million project brings radiation and medical oncology together under one roof.

Among the amenities, it includes:

10,825 square-foot facility
State-of-the-art linear accelerator
10 chemotherapy infusion chairs
Lab phlebotomy stations
Onsite pharmacy
Exam rooms
Procedure room
Patient meeting room
Media tours will follow remarks at the main entrance of the Renzi Cancer Center, located adjacent to GCMC.

Attendees should park in the lot on Alvena Avenue and walk over.

Masks must be worn at all times.
