A reminder for Homer School District residents of the vote today on a $24 million Capital Improvement Project.
The district promises “no additional tax impact” using state building aid, managing the debt payments and by using existing capital reserve funds. The project funds a long list of improvements such as safety and security, windows, boilers, restrooms, roofs, parking lots, fire alarms accessibility and redesign of bus and parent drop off loops. Voting is noon to 7 at the Homer Training and Education Center.

Most district residents will vote at the Kaufman Center on Valley View Drive. Virgil residents can vote at the Town Hall. Hours are noon until 9 pm. The Board of Education does meet tonight.
