CAPCO is reminding those who are interested in the fall 2024 Family Development Credential (FDC) course, that the time to register is running out. The deadline for registration is next Friday, August 18th.
The course is a college-level certification program through the University of Connecticut, which is administered by certified trainers at CAPCO. It gives an opportunity for those who work in any type of capacity with individuals and families in the community, either directly or indirectly.
There are 10 full day sessions at the CAPCO main office on Main Street in the City of Cortland between September 2023 and March 2024 with a multiple choice exam taking place on April 17, 2024. Work will include a portfolio and working with an assigned advisor.
Cost for the course is $850 and includes books and materials. The class schedule can be found below with class hours from 8am to 4pm.

In total, the course will include 80 hours of interactive instruction with 10 hours of portfolio advice. It will also provide empowerment skills for family workers.
