Reminder – Law Enforcement Cracking Down on Drunk & Impaired Driving

Area law enforcement agencies will continue to crack down on drunk and impaired driving for the holiday season through the STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign. The STOP-DWI campaign will continue through New Year’s Day.

The campaign is one of many area law enforcement agencies conduct throughout the year. Motorists can expect to see an increase in road patrols of both marked and unmarked police vehicles, sobriety checkpoints, and more. The high visibility of law enforcement aims to reduce the dangers of drunk and impaired driving.

If you do plan to go out and celebrate the holidays with alcohol involved, always make sure you have a sober and safe way to get home. A free app is offered by STOP-DWI New York called “Have a Plan.” It is free to download in the app stores and can help you find a safe ride home, plan a night out, report a DWI, test yourself and more.
