Reminder – Full-Depth Reconstruction Happening on West Court as Main Street Construction Looks at the Finish Line

A reminder for motorists who may be headed to the Downtown Cortland area, West Court Street is continuing to have full-depth reconstruction work done in preparation for final paving. A section of West Court remains closed between Main Street and Haskell Place (driveway behind Brix). Access to West Court will also be closed from Monroe Heights.

In addition to the West Court Street reconstruction, Crown City Rising says crews will also be cleaning the pavement along Main Street. The cleaning will result in a rolling and temporary parking closures along Main Street. Final paving for Main Street is expected to begin on Monday, June 23rd; Crown City Rising reports paving is estimated to take about 5 days. Motorists can expect street closures, alternate lane closures, and limited parking.

Once paving on Main Street is completed, street striping is anticipated to start on July 10th with Main Street converting to two-way traffic the following day, July 11th. All updates on street work may be found at CrownCityRising.com.
