Beginning today, August 14th and running through August 20th, law enforcement in the area will increase their patrols and crack down on speeders.
The campaign will focus on reducing speed related crashes and help save lives. The Sheriff’s Office says with the increase in engagement and enforcement on speeding for the week, underscores the severity of the problem both locally and nationally.
Officers from the Sheriff’s Office will work towards informing the public about the dangers of speeding and will enforce posted speed limits and problem areas within Cortland County.
