Registration Open for Cortland Prevention Resources’s “Cannabis and Your Kids” Workshop
Cortland Prevention Resources has announced an upcoming workshop for parents, called “Cannabis and your Kids.”
This workshop is one day only and will take place in the Homer Intermediate Auditorium. Prevention Resources Director, Melissa Simmons host the presentation that will explain the science and legality of adult-use cannabis.
There will also be a “Hidden Mischief” exhibit, which will simulate a teenager’s bedroom where substance-related items have been hidden.
Cortland Prevention Resources says that by attending this workshop parents will learn to spot signs of possible substance use and other risky behaviors, as well as explore and experience the current environment for teenagers.
This workshop is geared towards parents, teachers and other supportive adults in the wider community. A light dinner will be served at 5pm, with the workshop to follow at 5:30pm.
