Make sure you pre-register for the big upcoming Mental Health Awareness Walk in Cortland on Thursday, May 16. Tomorrow (May 1) is the final day to qualify for a free t-shirt and lunch.
The special event is put on annually by the Cortland County Mental Health Department to increase awareness of mental health issues in the community.
On the day of the walk, registration tables open at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed with welcoming remarks and a proclamation from Mayor Tobin at noon.
The walk itself starts at the United Presbyterian Church (25 Church Street), down Court Street, left on to Main Street, left on to Port Watson Street, left back on to Church Street and then back to the United Presbyterian Church.
