
Red Cross Issues Emergency Call For Blood Donations
Local News January 14, 2019The American Red Cross has issued an emergency call for blood and platelet donors to give now to prevent a prolonged blood shortage.
The holiday season has passed, but the Red Cross says the effects of seasonal activities and holiday travel are proving to have lasting effects on the blood supply. Donations are being distributed to hospitals faster than they come in.
Locally, there are several drives this week you can get to:
–TOMORROW, JAN 15: Crown Park Rehab, 28 Kellogg Rd in Cortland, 1-6p.
–WEDNESDAY, JAN 16: Marathon High School, 12 E Main, 8:45a-1:45p.
-=THURSDAY, JAN 17: Cortlandville Fire Dept., 999 State Rte 13, 12:30-5:30p.
