Rain Holds Off For Dairy Parade; New Dairy Ambassadors Named And Best Float Award Winners

Rain showers held off for the Annual Cortland County Dairy Parade as crowds lined up along a new parade route this year.

The route was moved off of Main Street Cortland as construction continues. The route went north to North Main Street and turned up Homer Ave. (Route 11) to the county fairgrounds where 2022-23 Dairy Ambassador’s were named.

Congratulations to the Co-Associate Dairy Ambassadors:

Hailey McCall of McGraw, Elsie Donlick of Cortlandville and Mandi Waltz of Cincinnatus.

Dairy Ambassadors help assist in promoting the dairy industry throughout Cortland County. June is Dairy Month in Cortland County.

Also, some great floats with the dairy theme won awards. A congratulations to these non-profits and businesses.

The Truxton Academy Charter School won for the best overall float, the Cincinnatus Country Kids for best youth float, best non-profit went to the Cortland Salvation Army and A local favorite, the best business float was Coffee Mania. They all were dress liked guy fieri with a “Hot” dairy theme float.
