After a two year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Racker Cortland County Celebration is coming up on Wednesday, October 12th at the Cortland Repertory Theater beginning at 8:30am.
Attendees will hear from the Racker’s new Executive Director, Cris Donovan, and her vision for the future.
Also in attendance will be filmmaker, Dan Habib. Who’s films focus on the wide range of disabilities in society, including emotional and behavioral disabilities in school-aged children. His work has earned many accolades including Emmy Award nominations and an appointment by former President Barack Obama to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
There will also be awards honoring Racker staff and community partners who help with Racker’s mission.
The Cortland County Award winners are:
- Jillian Perkins, Residential Regional Director – Mary Hutchens Award
- Teri Thorington, Senior CSP – Inspiration Award
- Alison Bryan, Speech Language Pathologist/Team Leader – Inspiration Award
- Catie Reeve, OCM BOCES – Community Partner Award.
