Queen + Adam Lambert Announce North American Tour In June; Europe Dates Added

Music News

Queen with Adam Lambert has just announced a major European tour for later this year. Queen’s North American trek kicks off on June 23rd in Phoenix, Arizona at Gila River Arena and wraps on August 5th in Houston, Texas at Toyota Center. The European leg, which plays throughout November and December, will hit Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Ireland, and the UK.

Brian May told us that these live Queen revivals, which are led by him and Roger Taylor, are celebrations of the past — not an effort to replace or top Freddie Mercury’s years fronting the band: “Yeah, it was great with Paul Rodgers and I think we all thought we took it a long, long way — way further than we imagined in the beginning, y’know, we’re still very good friends; but it did come to a natural end and he needs to tend to his career, and stuff. Contrary to what you may think, I think neither Roger or I are desperate, y’know, to do what we did, because we did it, and we’re not always looking for someone to sing for us. Y’know, organically this happened with Adam, and y’know, we just feel good about it. And we wouldn’t be here if we didn’t feel it was right and natural to be doing this.”
