Quaker Oats Granola Bars and Granola Cereal Recalled Over Salmonella Contamination Concerns

A voluntary recall has been issued by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Quaker Oats Company specific granola bars and granola cereals for suspected salmonella contamination.

Salmonella may cause serious and possible fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and/or others with weakened immune systems. Those infected with salmonella will often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
