Burglary Suspects Caught After Pursuit Ends with Spike Strips in Willet

Two suspects are being charged in a burglary Thursday (January 9) afternoon in Chenango County ended when police used a spike strip to stop a pursuit in the town of Willet.

State police arrested 31-year-old Tami Gray, of Oneida, at the scene just before 3:30 p.m.

They also took an unnamed male suspect into custody, whose charges are currently pending.

Gray was lodged with felonies for 1st-degree Burglary, 2nd-degree Robbery and 2nd-degree attempted Robbery, along with misdemeanors for 2nd-degree Menacing and 2nd-degree Reckless Endangerment.

Heer arrest followed a burglary in the town of Plymouth and two vehicle pursuits, which ultimately ended in the town of Willet after a tire deflation device was deployed.

Gray was processed and arraigned in Plymouth Town Court, then remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.

The investigation is continuing.
