Public Hearing Tonight For Village of Homer 2024-2025 Budget


The Village of Homer will be holding a public hearing for the 2024-2025 Budget tonight at 6pm before the Village Board of Trustees meeting. The public hearing will be held at the Homer Town Hall at 31 North Main Street in Homer.
Residents will be able to comment regarding the final budget for the village. Tonight’s meeting will also be available to stream via the village’s YouTube Channel and on Zoom.

The Village of Homer has also provided information on money from the Special Reserves and encumbrances will be used towards. This may be found below.

Machinery Reserves of $100,000 Purchase of a plow
Current Year Encumbrance of $97,000 for the purchase of a plow
Police Reserves of $52,000 for a police vehicle
Fire Station Reserve of $16.220 for Fire Station Debt Payments
Police Department Reserves of $6000 for Equipment
Fire Reserves of $9,000 for purchase of radios
