Progress Continues on Intersection Improvement Project Near SUNY Cortland

Work on the Broadway Ave, Neubig Rd, and Pashley Drive intersection is continuing well with the help of good weather. Last Monday, construction crews entered into phase two of the project, which requires the complete closure of the intersection to both motorists and pedestrians. A detour route with signage is in place.

The closure is expected to remain until Friday, July 5th. According to CrownCityRising.com, motorists who are looking to access the upper campus to SUNY Cortland are asked to use Court Street to West Court or via Prospect Terrace from Tompkins Street.

Construction crews are currently working on creating major safety improvements to the intersection, its reported no major work on the intersection has occurred in the last 30 years. Some of the safety improvements will include a raised intersection bed, new traffic signals with turn lanes, a bus stop, and new pedestrian signaling.
