EBT SNAP participants can now shop Price Chopper/Market 32 stores in New York via Instacart.
It’s part of the online site and mobile app’s first multi-chain wave of payment integration expansion.
Price Chopper will be one of the first major grocery chains onboard.
Once a customer creates their Instacart profile, he/she can enter their EBT food card information as a form of payment. A secondary form is still required for non-food items like taxes, tips and fees, as per federal guidelines.
To help subsidize costs, delivery or pickup fees are being waved through June 16, 2021, on up to the first three orders for each customer with a valid EBT card associated with their account.
