Price Chopper & Market 32 Begin Fundraiser to Support Special Olympics – Customers Asked to Round-Up Change
Happening now through Saturday March 16th, all Price Chopper and Market 32 grocery stores will be giving their customers the opportunity to round-up their change to help support Special Olympic athletes. The grocery store chain says for every dollar that is raised, it will go towards helping provide coaching, equipment, and opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Price Chopper and Market 32 will match all donations up to $1,000.
“Special Olympics fosters inclusion, confidence, and empowerment through sports and community engagement,” said Pam Cerrone, Market 32/Price Chopper director of community relations. “By simply rounding up their change, customers can join us in contributing to life-changing programs that encourage Special Olympics athletes to achieve their dreams, in sports and beyond.”
Price Chopper says this March, over 30 athletes, partners, and coaches from six states, including New York, that the grocery store chain operates in, will compete as part of the Special Olympics USA delegation at the 2025 Winter World Games in Turin Italy.
