Price Chopper and Market 32 have issued a voluntary manufacturer recall on their “Great Lakes Cheese on White” and “Yellow American” cheeses, including the fresh sliced to order, pre-sliced grab ‘n go and ‘cheese ends’ varieties.
Company officials say the concern is a possible contamination with small metal foreign matter on the surface of the affected products, which were sold in the store’s deli department under the “Market 32” label.

Affected products have already been removed from all store locations and customers can also return any they may have already bought for a full refund.
Many have already been contacted through the store’s SoundBite notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s AdvantEdge (loyalty) card to alert households that may have purchased the product in question.
