Price Chopper along with Market32 have announced the results of their month-long campaign in raising money for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). The grocery chain says $76,471 will go towards the DAV after the fundraising campaign focused on providing lifetime support to veterans and their families.
The company kicked off the campaign with a $10,000 donation and with customer donations, led to the total amount of $76,471, which will go directly to the DAV.
“As an organization, Disabled American Veterans goes above and beyond to provide veterans and their families lifetime support, free rides to medical appointments and connections to meaningful employment opportunities,” said Mona Golub, Price Chopper/Market 32’s vice president of public relations and consumer services. “Price Chopper/Market 32 is proud to support their efforts on behalf of those who served and fought for our country.”
The DAV’s mission is to empower veterans to have high-quality lives with respect and dignity. This is accomplished by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill, and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
