Preble Woman Charged With Endangering The Welfare of a Child
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested 24 year old Rose M. Moody of Preble following a welfare check back on September 10th. The Sheriff’s Office says officers responded to a welfare check at an address in Preble Wednesday.
Reports given to the Sheriff’s Office alleged Moody had subjected a child, who was known to her, to abuse at an establishment in the Village of Homer. The Sheriff’s Office says their investigation determined Moody engaged in acts against that child which were likely injurious to the child’s well-being.
Moody was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Misdemeanor. She was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and later arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process. Moody was released on her own recognizance. She is due in Homer Town Court next week.
