A Preble man tried breaking free and running from officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office Monday night (November 19), as they were attempting to arrest him for violating a court order of protection.
Cortland County Sheriffs say they responded to a location on State Route 281 in Preble at 7:30 p.m, where the subject of the court order violation was identified as 44-year-old Jody Fish of State Route 11 in Preble.
Fish then tried and failed to break free and run away from his arresting officers.
He was arrested, later arraigned and remanded to the Cortland County Jail.
He was set to reappear in the Town of Homer court yesterday evening (November 20).
