Around 3:15 on Sunday afternoon, both Preble and Homer Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported uncontrolled brush fire in Preble.
The fire, ¼ of an acre in size, was spreading quickly due to the dry conditions and gusty winds. Both departments responded quickly and were able to contain and knock out the fire.
No injuries were reported from the unoccupied and uncontrolled burn.
