Potential exposures hit 19 county businesses in two weeks

Local health officials confirmed potential COVID-19 exposures at three more Cortland County businesses, making a total of 19 over the past two weeks.

The following dates/times have been listed as possible infection periods:


Frank and Mary’s Diner – 10 Port Watson Street, Cortland (employee)

  • Sunday, October 4: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

Planet Fitness, 156-160 Clinton Ave, Cortland, NY (patron)

  • Monday, October 5: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Dollar Tree, 854 NY-13, Cortland, NY (employee)

  • Monday, October 5: 5:00 to 9:00 pm

Anyone who may have been exposed at the locations listed should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 until at least two weeks after the date of their visit.

Signs of the virus include:

Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.

If symptoms develop, stay home and call your doctor for further guidance about testing, unless you are elderly, have underlying medical conditions, or are immunocompromised.

In these cases, call your doctor early even if your illness is mild. In an emergency call 911.
